Workshops
We provide a selection of workshops to give you the opportunity to learn the important aspects of starting your own business.
- Business Planning
A session to explore what makes a good business plan, why a business plan is important and how to create your own. - Business Marketing
Giving you the fundamentals of what is involved in marketing your business. Includes information about building your social media presence, pricing strategies and finding customers. - Business Finance
Provides a rundown on the financial side of running your business, from the basics of HMRC and taxes, to a tutorial on budgeting. We will also provide a finance toolkit to help you manage the finance of your business.
At the end, there will be a small activity where you will use what you have learned to pitch an idea to us for experience and practice. This can also be a great opportunity to present a real idea you have to get feedback, support and to be potentially be in the running for a small start-up grant!
Self-Employment Support
YBM offers self-employment support for those interested in starting their own business. Aside from our workshops we can give specialised 1 to 1 support to help you get ahead with your business.
We also provide back office support for people who have already started their business, like a business address for people who work out of their own home and mail management for those that don’t wish to give clients their real mailing address.
Back Office Services
Through our partner BOS (Business Office Solutions) we can offer business addresses and mail services. We know that starting a business without dedicated premises can be intimidating, so we can allow you to use our address for all your business needs.
We also offer a mail service so you can have mail sent to our premises instead of yours. On top of that, you will be free to use our office as a neutral, safe area for you to meet potential clients.
